17. THE LION AND THE BEAR. A Lion and a Bear for a long time fought for the possession of a kid that had fallen between them, and faint from the combat lay down exhausted. A Fox who had from a distance witnessed the fight, seeing them thus situated, seized the kid and scampered off with it.
