This is an anthology of fables including modern fables from a range of European authors, as the extended title explains: Flowers of fable; from Northcote, Aesop, Croxall, Gellert, Dodsley, Gay, La Fontaine, Lessing, Krasicki, Harder, Merrick, Cowper, etc. I was especially glad to see Krasicki included here!
