THE HORSE AND THE WOLF. A wolf, seeing a fine young horse, wished much to eat him; so he gave out that he was a great physician and could cure all illnesses. The horse guessed the trick, and sent for Dr. Wolf to extract a thorn from his foot. The wolf was glad to get hold of the foot; but when he came quite close and pretend to be looking at it, the horse gave him such a kick in the head that he stunned him, and then trotted merrily away.
